| Last year was the highest number of suicides in Boulder County since
they started keeping a record. " we were busy, cerntainly, but you
can't say what happened last year is a trend," Tom Faure, cheif medical
investigator says. Colorado had the 5th highest sucide rate in the
nation in 1997 with 853 people killing themselves. "We've got a goog
crsis staff, and all of our law inforcement people in the county know how
to turn people on to it who need it," Chuck Stout, county health director
